Behind the Scenes: Photographing a Corporate Conference for ARDA
When the team at ARDA (the American Resort Development Association) reached out about photography coverage for their annual conference, we knew it was going to be fun. They asked us to document a multi-day event that brought together industry leaders, had engaging panel sessions, and dynamic networking moments. Shooting events is always our jam.
But what made this project especially cool wasn’t just the setting—it was the trust ARDA placed in us to help tell their story and support their future campaigns.
The Request: Conference Photography That Captures Real Value
In the initial email, Sarah Conroy, ARDA’s Vice President of Marketing & Communications, shared the goal clearly:
“I am looking for a photographer for a corporate conference for ARDA. The location is Hilton Signia Bonnet Creek in Orlando. It’s capturing our panel sessions, general event attendance, and receptions.”
From the start, Sarah emphasized the importance of quality coverage—not just to document the event, but to create lasting marketing assets that could be used well beyond the conference.
Our Approach
We worked closely with Sarah and the ARDA team to map out key moments and logistics before the event. Our goal was to show up not just as photographers, but as true creative partners—ready to blend into the background when needed, and step in to direct things when the moments called for it.
