Why is it important to have a great headshot? | Orlando Professional Portrait Photography

You’re probably like the rest of people in the business world, you do a lot of business online, and your profile picture is everywhere. In a time where personal customer service matters more than ever, helping people put a face with an email address is a crucial part of the process. Having a great headshot is like a digital handshake. It makes you a real person to everyone that wants to “meet” you or your company online. That simple fact brings more value to your photograph than ever.

Have you ever looked at someone’s professional website or profile picture and didn’t take them seriously because their photo was a selfie? You’re not alone. If someone is interested in hiring you or your business, they might google you first. The selfie might be fine for your profile that only your friends/family look at, but on professional social platforms like LinkedIn, you’ll want to look as professional and authentic as you can. Remember, this is your very first impression to anyone looking for you or your service online.

Our goal with any headshot session is to create a photograph for you that represents the real you. We do this with our approach. We’re quite laid back and relaxed as photographers, because it helps our clients feel more comfortable and we feel it’s the way to get the best out of people. We offer suggestions, but we try not to "“pose” our clients.

Kellie and Lindsay were awesome to work with! They were very laid back and made me feel comfortable, even with a camera in front of me. But they were also very professional at the same time. I highly recommend them if you’re trying to build a website or if you need pictures for other promotional materials.

A few quick tips to get the best out of your session:

  1. Bring multiple outfits that can be layered on and off each other. If you have a jacket, extra tie, or multiple mix and match items you’ll give yourself a lot of variety.

  2. Pick colors that are bold. If you have blue eyes, wear blue and your eyes will pop! If you look great in green because it compliments your complexion, wear it. You can mix and match solid colors and small patterns, but avoid large patterns that might be a distraction. Do you have a company color? You could also consider bringing something with that color as well.

  3. Morning light is our favorite. Using natural light is a great way to keep things authentic. We find that the morning hours provide the most beautiful results.

Kellie and Lindsay were very professional and easy to work with! They provided photos quickly and they captured amazing shots! Would definitely recommend them!
